Position Description:
AIG Staff Counsel has an opportunity for a Managing Attorney in our new Clayton, MO office.
The office will handle worker's compensation litigation covering St. Louis and surrounding counties.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
· Responsible for all aspects of development and supervision of Attorneys within the office.
· Ensure delivery of quality legal representation and service to clients and claims.
· Serve as point of contact for the Claims offices, and responsibility for addressing issues that arise,whether file or personnel related.
· Responsibility for identifying training needs of staff, and partnering with the Claims’ organization to provide training to Claims.
· Ensure the office budget is balanced; overseeing and monitoring expenditures and any
billing requirements
Position Requirements
Minimum 10 years experience handling worker's compensation litigation.
Additional casualty litigation experience a plus.
Must have a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice law in the State of MO.
Supervisory experience required.
Excellent computer skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word/outlook/excel.
Exceptional analytical, communication and presentation skills.
Ability to review and analyze financial data.
