Position Description:
PLEASE NOTE: CANDIDATES FOR SENIOR UNDERWRITER WILL ALSO BE CONSIDERED.
Performance Objectives:
Underwriter responsible for primary and excess Construction casualty products including workers compensation, general liability, auto liability and umbrella.
Responsible for the entirety of the account’s lifecycle, including securing submissions, analyzing exposures, pricing, coverage reviews and servicing the underwriting file.
Manage and further develop effective producer and client relationships throughout assigned territory in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Provide exceptional service levels to brokers and assigned accounts.
Effectively work with sales and marketing staff and collaborate with other AIG divisions by identifying cross-selling opportunities.
Coordinate with Credit, Actuary, Claims and Loss Control for new and renewal business.
Position Requirements
5+ years of casualty experience including workers compensation, general liability and automobile liability. Excess experience a plus.
Knowledge of all types of program structures including guaranteed cost, deductibles, self-insured retentions, captives and retros.
Advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
Strong influencing and communication skills and the ability to work across multiple areas of the company.
Prior experience marketing in Mid-Atlantic region a plus.
