Position Summary:
As a Recovery Specialist in our Claims division, you will review assigned files for adequacy of investigation and recognition to determine if recovery is feasible. Claims for this role have high exposures and are complex.
Organizational Structure:
The Recovery Specialist reports to the Assistant Manager and works closely with claims adjusters, attorneys and clients.
Performance Objectives:
-Research legal issues to determine validity and value of assigned claims.
-Document and maintain case files and records.
-Assign cases to authorize collection services in accordance with departmental procedures.
-Understand basic insurance/recovery concepts, practices, procedures and techniques.
Position Requirements
The Ideal Candidate Should Have:
-Bachelors degree.
-Five or more years of claims and/ or subrogation experience with a background in workers compensation.
-Excellent negotiation, analytical and organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks and case loads.
-Excellent communication skills and proficient in MS Word and Excel.
