Position Summary:
As a Nurse Reviewer in our Claims division, you will review bills submitted by medical service providers to ensure charges are medically appropriate according to relationship of treatment to injury and diagnosis.
Performance Objectives:
-Review all incoming medical bills that meet predetermined criteria specific to each state based on prevailing laws applicable to Workers’ Compensation claims.
-Utilize clinical knowledge to properly adjudicate Workers’ Compensation medical, and facility.
Position Requirements
The Ideal Candidate Should Have:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-Registered Nurse License
-Advanced knowledge of ICD-9, HCPC, and CPT coding (Certified Coder a plus)
-Apply analytical skills to problem solving
-Understand Medicare Rules and Regulations
-Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Work, Excel, and PowerPoint
