Position Description:
The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the daily operations of the Utilization Review unit, including evaluation of data, quality assurance, program implementation, and staff management.
Manage daily workflow and coverage to ensure quality and timeliness goals are met. Serve as a training resource to staff in conjunction with QA Training Coordinator.
Perform file audits to ensure compliance with state regulations.
Plan, manage, and evaluate the work of staff, as well as make decisions regarding performance management, employment and staffing.
Position Requirements
Valid RN license is required. 3-5 years nursing experience in a managed care or utilization review agency environment with at least 3 years of clinical experience and 2 year in a supervisory role.
Proficient knowledge of workers' compensation or disability management. Proficient analytical, financial, accounting, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient PC, organizational, communications and staff management skills.
Proficient knowledge of state jurisdictional and regulatory issues.
