Position Summary
As a senior member of our international underwriting team, you will be responsible for underwriting and marketing a portfolio of coverages as part of a foreign package policy containing General Liability, Auto Liability/Physical Damage, Workers Compensation, Property, and/or Kidnap & Ransom.
Organizational Structure
This position reports to the WorldSource Casualty Underwriting Manager and will work internally and externally with claims, home office, other AIG profit centers, Insured’s and brokers.
Performance Objectives
• Underwrite a profitable book of business which includes: General Liability; Auto Liability/Physical Damage; and Work Compensation.
• Responsible for the entirety of the account’s life cycle, including securing submissions, analyzing exposures, quoting and binding the business and servicing the underwriting file.
• Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the analysis and evaluation of the risk.
• Maintenance and service of an assigned renewal portfolio as well as the attainment of new business; A minimum of 15 Broker appointments are required per month.
• Aggressively market WorldRisk and Foreign Casualty products as well as cross-sell additional WorldSource products/services within your assigned territory and with assigned brokers in the Los Angeles region.

The Ideal Candidate Should Have:
• 3-5 years experience underwriting commercial property and casualty lines of business (either domestic or foreign)
• Strong analytical skills; customer orientation, interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Strong sales and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational skills and time management skills; proficiency with PC applications. (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Must have the ability to travel to meet with brokers.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
