Position Description:
Chartis Staff Counsel has an opportunity for a Workers Compensation Trial Attorney
covering the Eastern Pennsylvania area.
The key responsibilities of this position include:
• Litigation of workers compensation files from inception to resolution.
• Handling all aspects and phases of the file, including investigation, discovery, pleadings, evaluation, hearings, motions and trial.
• Compliance with Chartis litigation and management guidelines to include communication with claims, Chartis insured attorneys and the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Commission.
• Interact regularly with the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Commission.
• Excellent skills, research, evaluation, and negotiation.
• Proficient with handling a substantial caseload.
• Working independently yet collaboratively with Managing Attorney.
Position Requirements
• Six to nine years’ litigation experience in Workers Compensation.
• Member of Pennsylvania State Bar is required.
• Must have Juris Doctorate degree.
• Impeccable communication skill written and verbal.
• Robust organizational skills.
• Meticulous attention to details.
• Technology savvy.
• Terrific business acumen
Position Requirements
Juris Doctor degree and admission to the PA Bar.
At least 6-9 years experience in handling a workers compensation caseload.
