Position Description:
AIG Staff Counsel has an opportunity for an Office Manager in our new Olathe, MO office. The office will handle worker's compensation litigation covering the Kansas City, KS and surrounding counties W.C. Boards.
Key responsibilities for this position include: Responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the Staff Counsel Office, as well as providing legal support to the worker's compensation attorneys. As an integral part of the management team, the Office Manager must exercise sound judgment and be able to make sound decisions that conform with business sense, legal jurisdiction and corporate guidelines.
· Direct management and supervision of support staff within the office, including recruiting, training and conducting performance appraisals.
· Ensure the office budget is balanced; overseeing and monitoring expenditures.
· Responsible for adherence to Operational Guidelines which govern financial and general office procedures.
Position Requirements
Administrative or legal support experience in worker's compensation litigation
Supervisory experience Excellent computer skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft word/outlook/excel
Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
Motivated and independent thinker
Strong leadership skills
