Position Description:
Chartis Staff Counsel has an opportunity for an Associate Workers Compensation Attorney to cover the NJ W.C. Boards. The position will report to the Berkeley Heights Staff Counsel office. Key responsibilities for this position include:
• Litigation of compensation files from inception to resolution
• Handling all aspects and phases of the file, including investigation, discovery, pleadings, evaluation, hearings, motions and trial.
• Compliance with Chartis Litigation and management guidelines, to include communication with claims, Chartis insureds, attorneys and the Boards
• Interact regularly with the local WC boards.
Position Requirements
• 2-5 years WC experience
• Must have a Juris Doctorate degree
• NJ Bar Membership Required
• Familiarity with various Boards, their procedures and their personnel.
• Excellent computer skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft word/outlook
• Exceptional analytical, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability and facilities to work remotely (from home).
